Our client, a mid-sized oil & gas exploration & production company in the Galleria area of Houston, has 2 Accountant II openings. This position will provide support with corporate accounting and management reporting processes, and complex accounting matters. Will perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and / or management reporting processes including Accounting accruals, Account reconciliations, Revenue and expenditure reviews and analysis, review of system processes and outputs, Financial and / or management reporting, Complex accounting procedures, Journal entry preparation and review, Mentor and review the work of junior accounting, and other internal reporting duties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
• 2-3 years of experience working in a Big 4 or mid-to-large sized public accounting firm in an audit or assurance role
• Experience working with oil & gas/E&P clients helpful

Salary $92-98K + lucrative bonus!
